MamaHaki

Terms of service

Last updated 9 October 2026

In short: we prepare child maintenance documents through WhatsApp, a licensed advocate checks and signs them, you pay before we prepare a document, and if we cannot deliver what you paid for, you get your money back.

What MamaHaki is

MamaHaki is a technology service, not a law firm. Through a WhatsApp chat with Amina, our AI assistant, we collect the details needed to prepare child maintenance documents. Our partner law firm reviews, signs and issues every legal document. The advocate acts for you in preparing that document.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older and a parent or legal guardian of the child the case is about. You must give true and complete information. If something you told us is wrong, tell us before the document is signed.

Amina

Amina is an AI assistant and can make mistakes. She explains the process and collects your details, but she does not give legal decisions. Nothing becomes a legal document until a licensed advocate has checked and signed it. If you are unsure about anything, ask, and the advocate will be told.

Payment

Agreements need both parents

A Parental Responsibility Agreement is only completed when both parents approve the same terms, and the father has confirmed his identity. One parent cannot complete it alone.

What we cannot promise

A demand letter or an agreement does not guarantee that the other parent will pay. Only a court can order maintenance. We will tell you clearly what each document does and what the next step is if it does not work.

Using the service fairly

Do not use MamaHaki to harass anyone, to make false claims, or to act for someone without their permission. We may stop a case that breaks these rules.

Your safety

If you are in danger, call 999 or 112. If you tell Amina that you have been threatened, she will alert the advocate straight away.

Liability

As far as the law allows, our responsibility to you for any one case is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Kenyan consumer law.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
